The 93,700 s.f. Ontario Carpenter’s Training Center project was completed in October 2006 using concrete tilt-up construction. The building’s exterior included floor to ceiling glass for the main entrance as well as a curved metal architectural element. Special features of the tenant improvement scope of work included common spaces, 2-story entry lobby with lobby walls finished with cherry-wood wainscot paneling. At the center of the lobby is a grand granite staircase with stainless steel railings and wood features which complement the wood elevator enclosure.

The classrooms featured colored concrete with red and brown Apache river gravel exposed and sealed to a high luster. The 250 person meeting hall was fitted with a multi-level lighting control system. The audio and visual systems included recessed projectors and screens are enhanced with a complete sound and amplification system.

The executive boardroom featured floor to ceiling mahogany wood panels, a recessed Sub Zero refrigerator with wood panels, granite counters and a complete sound and video system with a 50” plasma screen. The lighting system accentuates all of the wood and other custom features of this room.
