This 102,562 s.f. project was a type III-1hr., three story concrete tilt-up above grade building with one level of subterranean parking. It required proper shoring installation to protect the existing buildings that surrounded the project and allowed for construction of the below grade parking structure. Substantial sequencing of the construction process was required to build the tilt-up panels over the subterranean level, where the panels were attached to a structural poured-in-place deck over masonry walls and poured-in-place columns. A three story structural steel frame was built adjacent to the concrete tilt-up panels to contain the lobby cores, which included stairs and elevators. The steel was covered in a metal and dual glazed curtain wall with exterior plaster, along with contemporary precast columns and plaster accents. The building contained one level above grade parking as well as two floors of rental office space. The lower floor level was constructed with structural steel beams and metal decking with the upper floor and roof constructed of glue laminated beams.
