Toyota Logistics Services Vehicle Processing and Distribution Center (VDC) — Long Beach, California

Toyota recognized the value of Oltmans throughout the planning and implementation of this project as a major project team contributor, business partner and builder of our most important Port Vehicle Distribution Center in our North American operations. They truly had their customer success and safety as their highest priorities as was evident by their contribution in the early stages of planning and the building of the project while our operations continued uninterrupted at the site surrounding the project construction. Toyota goals for the project became Oltmans’ goals for the project and they provided innovative construction solutions and value engineering that met and often exceeded our expectations. Their project team was made up of individuals that each contributed with their full commitment to the great success of the project. Toyota is very selective in the process to find the right business partners for our projects and we truly did in selecting Oltmans construction. "

— John Elizalde, Project Development Manager, Toyota Motor North America

" During preconstruction they presented insightful value engineering opportunities. In construction they offered practical and cost-effective solutions to any construction issues when they arose. Throughout construction, they dealt with the effects of COVID and supply chain issues while keeping the project on time and on budget.

Children's Institute, Inc. (CII) Watts Campus — Los Angeles, California

It is so fitting that we round out this year with the milestone that is the CII Certificate of Occupancy in Watts. It is because of Oltmans Construction Co., along with Leonard Madson's leadership, that we now have a long held dream realized. The Board of Trustees first conceived of this project over twelve years ago. I have been a part of the Committee for ten years and chaired it for five. There is no one other than Oltmans that Leonard and I considered working with; a choice strongly supported by my husband, Paul Keller. I could not imagine a Frank Gehry project executed so professionally and efficiently. I know it wasn’t always easy, but none of you ever showed it. Your work on this project has been nothing short of extraordinary and I will be forever indebted to you all, and grateful for having shared this journey with you.

— Bridget Gless Keller, CII Trustee and Watts Building Committee Chair, Children's Institute, Inc. Watts

Freeway Business Center — Riverside, California

I wanted to reach out to you and thank you and your team, including Rod Bunting and others from your team that assisted in fixing the items that popped up during IRC’s recent review of the roof. Oltmans Construction Co. got after the roof issues very quickly and we are truly appreciative of how quickly the roof was repaired. Your team’s effort allowed us to be able to complete the sale of the building prior to the end of 2021.

Amazon DFX9 — Huntington Beach, CA

I had the opportunity to work with the Oltmans team on one of the most challenging Amazon projects. Oltmans has exceeded our expectations, and we consider them one of our trusted partners in the Los Angeles market. DFX9 could not have been as successful had it not been for their outstanding performance with the build and with attending to our needs and high standards. Oltmans' team has proven to be detail- and solution-oriented, which helped to deliver a successful project to Amazon.

— Karim Maraqa, Construction Manager (AMZL), Amazon Transportation Engineering Services

Amazon DAX5 — City of Industry, California

“I have completed several launches across the country, working with seven different construction companies. The Oltmans team by far has been the best in going above and beyond to deliver our milestones and ensure the safety of all stakeholders. Oltmans’ project manager demonstrated Amazon’s top leadership quality of “customer obsession,” and the team helped Amazon Start-up tremendously in successfully delivering a 100% Operational Readiness Test. Post-launch, the Oltmans team was willing to stay behind to close-out all additional asks that the site required. Amazon’s operations team has expressed gratitude for the work that Oltmans was willing to coordinate, in conjunction with an aggressive schedule, in order to support both the Operation and Start-up teams. I would strongly recommend Oltmans again and again for our Amazon projects.”

— Trinh Nguyen, Launch Manager, Amazon

Magnolia Science Academy #1 — Reseda, California

As the principal of Magnolia Science Academy 1, when our school, the place where our middle and high school students learn and grow, is recognized as a pillar for our community, that is the best honor. As I look at the evolution of our campus I think about where we started, with just one building and dreamt of the day that we could build a state-of-the-art facility for our students. Little did we know that all this dreaming would become a reality in 2019 when we opened the doors to our brand new high school building.

We had the amazing privilege of working with Franco Architects and Oltmans Construction Co. to build our dream school. They created a space where our students can learn and thrive. I can talk about how amazing it was working with the Oltmans team all day, instead, I will just say that they have become a part of our Magnolia family. They took our vision and made it ten times better than what we could have ever imagined. Every door, tile, and color selection was purposefully designed to foster creativity. Now our students thrive within those walls.

I am beyond grateful to be sharing this award and recognition with Oltmans and thank you for making the MSA1 warriors dreams come true. We couldn’t have done it without you guys.

— Mustafa Sahin, Principal, Magnolia Science Academy #1

TELACU Goodrich Industrial Center — Commerce, California

I would like to thank you for all of your hard work, patience, and professionalism—especially during the COVID-19 pandemic and dealing with its adverse effects—in the successful construction of TELACU 1270, Inc.’s new building, which looks GREAT. GREAT JOB for getting the job done. THANK YOU! I wish Oltmans Construction Co. continued success.

— Frank Favela, VP of Finance and Accounting, TELACU Industries

Amazon DAX-7 — South Gate, California

After working with The Oltmans Amazon Services Group for over a year now, I feel that they are highly capable in their delivery of Amazon facilities. Oltmans Amazon Services Group has completed more than 5 million square feet of Amazon capacity, from Last Mile Delivery to large fulfillment and sort facilities.

Preconstruction and construction of an additional 5 million square feet of building area is currently underway. They have the personnel and resources to keep up with inflight design changes and maintain Amazon’s rapid turnaround schedules. Their team members provide the highest level of service, are solution-oriented, and have exceeded every expectation.

— Fritz Gutenberg, North American Transportation Engineering Services Construction Manager, Amazon

Goodman Eastvale Commerce Center, LGB3 Fulfillment Facility — Eastvale, California

Having had the opportunity to work with Oltmans Construction Co. on two separate Amazon projects has given me ample insight into their ability to complete expansive, complex projects on a heightened timeline where attention to detail is crucial and there is little to no room for error.

They have proven their ability on one of our largest Amazon Robotics (AR) buildings to date, and are currently proving themselves on a Cross‐Dock (IXD) building in Fontana, CA. The former, a 1.1-million-square-foot footprint (two- and four-level mezzanines with over 2.7-million-square-feet of usable floor space), offered a complex building process with extensive Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and Amazon Robots throughout all four levels of mezzanine. The latter is a single-level, 615,000-square-foot project with multiple MHE levels and complex conveyor processes. Both projects required an accelerated schedule coordinated among various different Amazon groups, depending on their ability to meet dates, in order to accomplish on‐time operational start dates.

— Hunter Kirby, NAFC West Coast Regional Construction Manager, Amazon

Providence St. Joseph Health, Little Company of Mary, Breeze – Glass Building Addition & Coastal Orthopedics Tenant Improvement — Torrance, California

The innovative therapy pool created design challenges, but the project team was able to overcome it. The project broke ground in January 2020 and encountered another trial; the city experienced a cyber-attack resulting in cancellations of all inspections, and deliverable of materials. The project and team were able to recover time loss, and every team member went beyond their contractual responsibilities to get the project back on track. This strong team effort allowed the project to open to the public on August 3.

— Juliana Yepes, Providence Health & Services

Stater Bros. Repair — San Bernardino, California

Your team did a reputable job. Allen was very communicative and kept me informed of what he needed and how the project was progressing. I just want you and Joe [Pike] to know how well the job was performed from the removal to the pouring process. I appreciate all of your team's hard work and diligence.

— Troy Harris, Special Projects Supervisor, Stater Bros. Markets

Perris Community Health Center – Riverside University Health System — Perris, California

From their leadership to their journeymen, and all roles in between, I have found Oltmans people to be very high-integrity, concerned about my project, and very competent and capable. They are extremely professional, easy to work with, and excellent communicators. Oltmans seemed to want to complete the project with nearly as much excellence as I did, as the owner.

I have truly enjoyed working with them on five (5) projects of similar size and value over the last ten (10) years. I trust them, I have confidence in them, and I like them. I can't recommend Oltmans highly enough--they are one of my go-to contractors anywhere in California or the West.

— John Buckel, Senior Partner, LEED AP, SIOR, Capital Partners Development Co.

C.R. Laurence Co., Inc. — Vernon, California

What a great job, Oltmans! On behalf of Mr. Don Friese, I just wanted you to know how impressed we are with our two new buildings. Ramiro Ramos, Christopher Gray, and Bill Ragland were great to work with from the ground-breaking process to final inspections and completion. The project came in on time and on budget! There is something to be said for when you undertake projects like this and you can still shake hands in the end. This is what sets you aside from others in your industry. Tony, we have had a very longstanding relationship with yourself and Oltmans for many decades, and we thank you for this. Highest regards from our side. Again, thanks for all your help with these major projects.

— Chris R. Hanstad, Owner Representative, C.R. Laurence Company, Inc.

KPAC Burtis Cold Storage

Working with Oltmans was truly a great experience. Every person, from the top of the organization to the bottom, was very professional. I was always kept informed of the status of the project and was always brought in to discuss the inevitable challenges.

Mark Schlichting and Darin Lee did a fantastic job, but I believe it was Debbie Berg who kept the wheels on the cart. Much thanks to all the team!

— Ronnie Ceballos, Vice President and General Manager, KPAC General

Bloomington Industrial Park

I wanted to let you know that in all of the years that I have been involved in the construction of industrial projects, this is one of the most organized and cleanest job sites that I have seen, and wanted to let you know that it is very much appreciated.

Bill Ruesch has set a very high standard, and I just wanted to take the time to thank you for his extra effort and attention to detail.

— Jeff Hill, Crow Holdings Industrial

Department of Social Services (DPSS), Hemet Buildings 1-4

Each of my three projects that Oltmans handled in Hemet were very successful, with the 541 building lobby remodel being the most complex and challenging. It required multiple phases and nighttime construction as business operations could not be interrupted. Each phase in turn required multiple staff relocations and the frequent re-routing of public business operations, along with the encompassing communications logistics. All went smoothly.

Tom Brady [Superintendent] and Jon Pennock [Project Manager] were outstanding to work with and their coordination with me, their construction teams working at night, and my facilities and IT teams working during the day was seamless. We appreciate their professionalism and commitment to the project.

I hope to have the opportunity of working with Oltmans again in the future.

— Lesley Giger, Facilities Project Planner County of Riverside, Department of Public Social Services (DPSS)

Pacific Pointe South — Long Beach, California

On behalf of Sares-Regis Group, I would like to thank you for your diligent work on our Pacific Pointe South project, which was awarded the 1st place “Best Industrial Project” by the Los Angeles Business Journal. It was a pleasure working with Oltmans Construction on this Project, in addition to the many projects we have completed together in the past.

As the general contractor, Oltmans did an outstanding job managing the project schedule and budget, navigating the many challenges that came up throughout the course of the project while coordinating the construction of three high quality, LEED certified buildings. We appreciate the significant time Oltmans’ spent with the project team and tenants to ensure the build-to-suits met the tenants’ expectations and needs. Mariners Church — Irvine, California

Bucky Oltmans - On behalf of myself and the Elder Board, I wanted to personally thank you for all you have done in the build out of this beautiful campus God has given us. We know that no construction project goes without is challenges, and this one was no exception. Yet, you personally chose a highly professional team made up of Ed, Sal, Brian and Mike, that was able to execute the construction of our Youth Building, lake and onsite improvements in such a way we are very proud of. With permits, weather delays and inspector issues, it was a real accomplishment for your team to deliver this finished product to us when you did. You did an amazing job of overcoming these obstacles.

In addition, we were recently made aware that your company passed on to the church a cost savings of $244,000. This is truly an amazing gift which allows us to complete the project and cover all of our costs. We so appreciate your commitment to our church, your love for it, and your generous heart in giving back to Mariners this very substantial savings. We realize without your generous heart and careful attention to purchasing and costs by your staff, this would not have been possible.

— Kenton Beshore, Mariners Church
