SANTA CLARITA, CA â€“ With major tenants in hand, including what is reportedly the regionâ€™s only Dickâ€™s Sporting Goods store, construction has been completed on Centre Pointe Village, a 15-acre retail project at the heart of Santa Clarita, CA, announces general contractor Oltmans Construction Co.
Mark Bergman, project manager for Whittier, CA-based Oltmans Construction Co., reports that Centre Pointe Village, located adjacent to Golden Valley Rd. and McKeon Way, comprises 133,000 square feet of space.
He said the project consists of six buildings. They include a 58,890 square foot structure occupied by Dickâ€™s Sporting Goods, a 30,000 square foot building occupied by Babies R Us, a 24,970 square foot building occupied by Easy Life Furniture, a 7000 square foot building occupied by G Stage Clothing, and two pad structures of 5,561 and 6,163 square feet. Oltmans Construction Co. erected all but the Babies R Us facility, as well as all site improvements.
The Centre Pointe Village the retail center is strategically located amidst a demographically strong retail area of some 70 acres that includes adjacent Wal-Mart and Samâ€™s Club power centers.
The strength of this retail area is verified by the fact that we had major tenants committed to our center prior to the start of construction. There are two small pads of 8,000 square feet yet to market, and we have approximately 30,000 square feet of build-to-suit space available. Ultimately, Centre Pointe Village can be expanded to 160,000 square feet. The estimated value of the project is $22 million.
