COVID-19

 – Amended 03/20/2020

Per the directive of the Safer at Home for Control of COVID-19 order, Oltmans Construction Co. will remain open and operational as an essential business. All Oltmans offices are closed to the public, effective beginning March 19 and continuing through April 19, 2020. Those essential employees who will report to our offices must continue to observe CDC guidelines for the well-being of our business partners and employees.

Working Remotely

All staff is strongly encouraged to work from home, in accordance with the governor’s Safer at Home policy. Our corporate headquarters will remain open to essential personnel on an as-needed basis and per the directive of management.

While in the office or on any job site, standard CDC protocols must be followed at all times, including safe hygiene habits and social distancing (physical separation from others by at least six (6) feet). Those who report to work ill will be sent home. If you are sick or consider yourself to be high-risk for COVID-19, contact your supervisor and a medical professional as soon as possible.

Meetings and Travel

In alignment with the State of California, Events and Gatherings will be limited to fewer than ten (10) people, and all business travel is restricted. Meetings are encouraged to be conducted using Zoom conference calls or video conferencing.

Construction as Essential Business

All field operations are to proceed as Essential Business. All projects NOT currently impacted by municipal shutdowns are moving ahead and require our full attention and support. COVID-19 response awareness meetings are being held at all active job sites. In addition, educational materials are posted visibly at each job site. Our field staff is instructed to reduce exposure by utilizing Zoom meeting technology, limiting meeting sizes, and abiding by social distancing measures.

In some areas of California and Nevada, our access to required permits and inspections may be impacted. Clients, subcontractors, and vendors will be notified on a case-by-case basis regarding any setbacks due to closures of building departments and municipalities.

Oltmans management is proactively discussing and responding to the developments of this crisis and will be communicating next steps as they develop. We are a family here at Oltmans and will do what we can to see this situation through.
