The New Facility

PERRIS, CA – The new, single story, 50,000 s.f. concrete tilt-up facility for the County of Riverside’s Department of Public Social Services was completed under an Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) approach which focused on a collaborative team effort to minimize cost and schedule risk. Oltmans provided design/build services and worked alongside the Owner/Developer, Architect, County of Riverside, Economic Development Agency, and the Department of Public Social Services to successfully complete a project that met all vested parties’ goals and needs. The project enabled the County of Riverside to consolidate three (3) of their offices into one (1) all-inclusive Regional Facility, which presently accommodates 190 employees and services approximately 2,000 individuals daily with financial assistance, employment as well as food and shelter needs.

The building’s exterior featured a terra-cotta canopy, stone facade columns, and glass/glazing. Full tenant improvement work included the build-out of the following: a large waiting room, classrooms, interview booths, private interview rooms, five (5) conference rooms, meeting rooms, computer rooms, kitchen/breakrooms, women’s and men’s restrooms and offices/cubicle area as well as an Information Technology room with a redundant air conditioning system and a double inner lock fire sprinkler system. Oltmans completed all onsite and offsite work including a 280-car parking lot, fencing, landscaping, new traffic signals, new median, street improvements, and new storm drain installation.
