Oltmans Construction Co. of Whittier Gains Two More National Publication Rankings

WHITTIER, CA – Already the recipient of several trade media designations for leadership in its field, Oltmans Construction Co. of Whittier, CA has garnered two top national magazine rankings from BUILDING DESIGN & CONSTRUCTION MAGAZINE and CONCRETE CONSTRUCTION MAGAZINE.

BD+C placed Oltmans Construction Co. on its recently announced “Giants 300” list honoring “America’s Foremost Architectural, Engineering and Construction firms in the nonresidential building industry.”

Companies were ranked across six main categories – architects, architect/engineers, engineers, engineer/architects, contractors, and Construction Managers. Rankings were based on the volume of commercial, institutional, industrial and multi family residential building work completed in 2008. BD+C reported that Oltmans Construction Co. recorded $295 million in volume for 2008.

Meanwhile, CONCRETE CONSTRUCTION MAGAZINE placed Oltmans Construction Co. at 47th on its list of the top 100 companies engaged in concrete construction work nationwide. The publication showed the company with $59.1 million in concrete revenue in 2008, which was self performed exclusively as part of Oltmans’ in-house general contracting services.

Earlier this year, Oltmans Construction Co. reported that ENGINEERING NEWS RECORD MAGAZINE ranked the company among the top 400 general contractors in the nation, while LOS ANGELES BUSINESS JOURNAL recently placed the company among the top 25 general contractors in Los Angeles County.
