Boys & Girl’s Club Kitchen Remodel

Oltmans recently completed the remodel of the Cypress clubhouse’s kitchen and community garden to offer local club youth valuable opportunities to learn about nutrition, sustainability, teamwork, and collaboration. During the remodel, Joe Santillian, Oltmans Superintendent, helped the club identify specific needs that would bring meaningful improvements to the kitchen’s layout.
After meeting with the Cypress staff, it was clear to the value a remodeled kitchen would bring to the children and families served. That included adding rolling carts to transport catered food, easily accessible outlet locations for warmers, and a more modular space to facilitate classes and programs to promote healthy living.
