Terawatt Charging Site

The first-ever commercial vehicle EV charging hub in Southern California.

Oltmans Construction Co. completed the development of a heavy-duty electric vehicle (EV) charging facility for Terawatt Infrastructure Rancho Dominguez in Compton, CA. Located less than 15 miles from the Port of Long Beach and Los Angeles, this site plays a key role in supporting the growing demand for zero-emission freight transportation in Southern California.

Project Overview

This purpose-built facility is designed specifically for medium-duty (MD) and heavy-duty (HD) electric trucks and includes the following key infrastructure:

  • 20 High-Capacity Charging Stalls: Each stall features 350kW DC fast chargers to support rapid turnaround for commercial fleets.
  • Pull-Through and Bobtail Stall Configurations: Accommodates a variety of vehicle lengths and use cases, enhancing access and ease of use.
  • Interoperability Across Platforms: Chargers are compatible with a range of MD and HD vehicle models.
